Taking Care of Your Adenium

Adenium, commonly known as the Desert Rose, is a striking succulent known for its vibrant flowers and bulbous caudex. Proper care is essential to ensure its well-being and blooming. Here are care instructions for Adenium:

Sunlight:

Adeniums thrive in full sunlight. Provide at least 6 hours of direct sunlight daily for optimal growth and flowering. A sunny windowsill or outdoor location is ideal.

Watering:

Allow the soil to dry out between waterings. Water deeply when the top inch of soil is dry, but don't overwater it, it can cause root rot.

Fertilization:

Use a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer). Dilute the fertilizer to half the recommended strength and feed every 2-4 weeks. For the organic fertilizer or recommendation of the same you can contact us.

Pruning:

Regular pruning promotes a bushier growth habit and enhances flowering. Trim back leggy stems and spent flowers. Wear gloves, as Adeniums produce a toxic sap.

Pest Control:

Keep an eye out for pests like aphids and spider mites. If detected, treat them promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Contact us for assistance.

Pot Size:

Adeniums prefer being slightly root-bound. Repot only when necessary, typically every 2-3 years, using fresh, well-draining soil.

Winter Care:

Reduce watering during the dormant winter period. If temperatures drop below 50°F (10°C), move your Adenium indoors to protect it from the cold.

Dormancy:

Adeniums may enter a dormant period during winter, shedding leaves. This is normal. Reduce watering and allow the plant to rest until warmer temperatures return.

Following these care instructions will help your Adenium thrive, rewarding you with its stunning, colorful blooms and distinctive caudex. Remember to observe your plant regularly, adjusting care based on its specific needs and environmental conditions.
